This page explains, in plain English, what information Canine-Detect Pest Control collects when you use this website or call us, what we do with it, and how to ask us about it. We are a small pest control company in Evansville, Indiana, and we keep this simple on purpose.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to come out and look at your pest problem.
- The free-inspection form. Your name, phone number, city, the type of pest you think you have, and anything you type into the message box.
- Phone calls. When you call us, we note your name, number, address and what you told us so we can schedule and prepare for the visit.
- Basic server logs. Like most websites, our web host records things such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. We use these only to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To schedule and perform your inspection, treatment and any follow-up service.
- To call or text you back about the request you made.
- To keep service records for your property, so we know what was inspected, what was treated and when.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We do not add you to marketing lists or send you promotions you did not ask for. If you contact us about a pest, we contact you about that pest.
Who sees it
Canine-Detect staff who schedule and perform your service. That is usually Richard, our operations manager and the technician assigned to your job.
For bed bug verification, we bring in an independent company, K9 Detections, to send a trained dog through the treated space. They receive only the address and appointment details they need to do that inspection, nothing more.
Our website host and phone provider process data on our behalf as part of running the site and the phone line. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. It may set the basic cookies needed for the site itself to work, such as remembering that you submitted a form. If we add a visitor-analytics tool later, we will say so on this page and explain what it collects.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact details and service records for as long as we need them to service your property and answer questions about work we did, and for as long as Indiana law requires us to keep pest control records. Server logs are kept only for a short time by our host.
Your choices
You can call us at 888-555-5555 at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct something that is wrong, or to have it deleted. We will delete what we are not required by law or licensing rules to keep, and we will tell you plainly if there is something we have to hold on to.
Children
This site is for homeowners, renters and property managers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, call us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. We will not quietly change the rules on you.
