Heat kills bed bugs and their eggs, but only where it reaches and only if it stays hot long enough. Furniture, wall voids, baseboards and clutter take time to come up to temperature. A treatment that runs a few hours can leave cooler pockets where bugs and eggs survive, which is why so many people see one again three weeks later. We run the room at 135°F for a full 24 hours so the heat soaks in everywhere.
Then we do the part almost nobody does: we bring in an outside company. K9 Detections sends a handler and a trained scent-detection dog to inspect the home after treatment. The dog does not know who paid for the job. If it alerts, we deal with it. If it clears the home, you have an answer you can trust.

How will I know the bed bug treatment actually worked?
After a heat treatment we bring in an independent company, K9 Detections, whose trained dog inspects your home to confirm the job worked. It is a third party, not our own technician, so the verification is a real check, not a formality. That is what we mean by proof, not promises.
Why do you heat for 24 hours when other companies run a few hours?
Bed bugs and their eggs die at sustained temperatures, and the deeper they are hidden in furniture, walls and clutter, the longer it takes for the heat to reach them. Running the treatment for a full 24 hours at 135°F gives the heat time to soak into every void, which is why we run it that long.
Who comes out for the first inspection?
Most initial inspections are done by Richard, the owner, who holds Indiana 7A supervisory and 7B termite licenses, or by our operations manager. A licensed expert diagnoses the problem and explains it to you before anything is treated, so you are never quoted by a salesperson who has not looked.
